The workwear consists of several main elements, one of which is the upper body part – jacket.

The type of jacket, as well for the other types of clothing, must be suitable with the season and applicable environment. The choice of the product does not apply only for the model, but also from it’s type of fabric, thickness, color etc.

 

These are the types of fabric, from which the jacket is made of:

● Cotton/Polyester – fabrics with different ratio between the two types of threads. The most common are those in ratio 35% cotton and 65% polyester and fabric weight between 200 and 300 grams per square meter.

● 100% Cotton – this type of fabric is used in different work environments, especially for highly inflamable places or fabricating non-accumulating static electricity work clothes. I  t is also used for summer, as well as winter models.

● 100% Polyester – the polyester fabric is waterproof and windproof and it is mainly used for the top layer of winter clothing.

Of course these are not the only types of fabric, which are used for fabricating workwear jackets, but these are the main and most commonly used.

When choosing the right clothing, we always consider the model first, because even in workwear the fashion is present.

What should we look for in a workwear jacket?

Firstly, whether it corresponds to the type of work we do:

● whether the movement of the hands is impeded by the model (cut, fastening, tightening at the wrists, tightening at the waist, etc.)

● whether it has all of the necessary functionalities – enough pockets for tools, hood ( when necessary ), presence of reflective elements etc.

● whether the color is matcing the corporate one

● whether the fabric is suitable for our work environment
